A bedside organizer is a tidy way to store your bedside necessities while you are in bed. Depending on the size of the organizer, the objects can range from books to glasses cases and pens. The organizer goes underneath the mattress so that it is securely held in place, and can hold any weight. You can purchase premade bedside organizers, or make your own in fabric which matches your decor. Fitting them takes just a little effort, and they require no maintenance. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Open the bedside organizer, and ensure that it lays flat. If it has been stored folded up, you may need to iron the fabric to ensure that the sides are straight.
2Take the duvet off the bed you wish to attach the bedside organizer too. This makes the mattress easier to pick up, and makes fitting the organizer easier.
3Lift the mattress. It is useful to lean it against something, such as a wall, or to have someone hold the mattress up while you fit the organizer.
4Place the organizer over the side of the bed. Decide how high you would like the organizer to sit. Bear in mind that the mattress will likely secure the organizer a bit higher than you choose.
5Gently lower the mattress back into position. This should secure the organizer into place.
6Fill the organizer as necessary.
